Dustin’ off my Stop Motion skills

Next, my bow staff skills.

Just downloaded the iStopMotion trial version which seem to last forever btw!?  It connects your DSLR or Camcorders to your computer. It has onion skinning, lip-syncing, and different Rotoscoping features.  The free version basically gives you everything and I think the purchased version is only like $50 bucks.

I was’t sure what to animate so I rummaged around my old action figures- OH SNAP ITS THE GREEN RANGER SON SON SON!!!

Happy Happy New Years!!

Happy New Year! It’s tweeentay-tweelvv!! The year I get a job!!

The holidays were so much fun, we had almost 20 family members over and I miss them all so much! We cooked great food, drank great beer, got the cops called on us, exchanged gifts (I got Zelda Skyward Sword from my awesome brother o_o), ate more food, drank more beer, and as soon as it started everyone had to go.

It was the first time all the 1st cousins have been back together at the same time since we were kids. I’m the fly one with the bowl cut.

I also finally got some time to finish my light table! So, when I was a kid our neighbor was an old retired cartoonist. He was the funniest old dude I had ever met, his name was Jack Huggins and he basically taught me how to draw when I was a kid.  He used to do crazy stuff like right before he would go on a vacation, at night he would draw a chalk outline of his body in the driveway then wrap it off in caution tape.  All the old people would freak out and he would eventually drive back and up his driveway threw all the caution tape he had put up. Or when it was cool for ladies to put up decorative flags, Jack made this huge cockroach flag and hung it proud (sometimes he switched it up with a rubber chicken).  He passed away when I was 14 and left me a ton of art supplies. So many in fact, that I used them throughout college and still have some today.  He also left me his old drafting table.  It has been sitting in the basement needing fixed since I was 14, so needless to say, it was really nice to bring it new life.

Anyways I can’t wait to start using it. I am in the middle of a ton of projects right now, so as usual there will be alot of new work over the next month!  Also my new long term animation project with my good friend Sam Brubaker is under production! ~More to come. <3

Satchmo Painting Progress

I’ve been busy working on this painting of Pops, aka Louis Armstrong and I thought I would post a progress picture.  I haven’t painted in so long I forgot how much I love it!  Also be on the lookout for a animated short film that me and my good friend Sam Brubaker are working on.  I’ll be posting Character Sheets and hopefully a full storyboard within the next 2 weeks.
